Information and Guidelines for your bridal appointment

We are looking forward to meeting you and your star guest and thank you for choosing us to help you with selecting your dress and accessories for the big day. Please bring along a strapless bra and a pair of shoes of similar heel height to what you plan to wear on the day.  

You can choose a dress from our stock to buy and take home on the day or choose to order one in.  It takes approx 6 months to order a dress and the usual order process is a 50% payment when you order, and then the remainder when the dress comes in.   We do offer payment plans over 6,8 or 10 months.  

 For your convenience all fittings and alterations are carried out on the premises in our workroom.  Your bridal gown purchase is guaranteed with us and will come with complimentary gown insurance as we are accredited members of the Retail Bridalwear Association

In order to open up our shop after lockdown and to help you all find a beautiful dress for your wedding day we have had to put in place some new measures and protocols based on Govt. guidelines during the Covid 19 pandemic.  These have not been easy decisions and we hope you will all understand and thank you in advance for your co-operation which allows us to keep our store open. Please share this information with your star guest as everyone needs to comply to keep us all safe and healthy and to continue providing our products and services.

 Brides will be seen STRICTLY BY APPOINTMENT  and each bride will be allowed a maximum of 1 STAR GUEST ONLY (at the time of writing this has to be someone who they live with)  Appointments will be confirmed by phone 1-2 days before your appointment and we will keep a record of all guests contact details. Your appointment will last approx 1 hour.  Please arrive on time, guest arriving early will be asked to wait outside the store.  Guests arriving late will reduce the amount of time they have to try on dresses.  

If you have a temperature or have recently been unwell please re-schedule your appointment.  If you have had COVID-19 please re arrange your appointment for 4 weeks after your symptoms ended.

All brides and guests coming into the shop will be asked to sanitise their hands on arriving and departing from the shop and you will be handed a thermometer to check your temperature at the door.   If this is raised we will be asked to rebook.

Whilst carrying out appointments and dress fittings we must try to maintain social distancing at all times and both staff and customers will be required to wear face coverings and gloves throughout the appointment for when we have to breach the social distance rule.  (we will supply face coverings and gloves if you do not have your own) (If you prefer to wear your own then please put this on before your arrival) Customers who refuse to wear a face covering or who remove it during the appointment will be asked to leave.

Customers will no longer be able to browse and pick from the dresses.  Our consultants will work out with the bride before her visit which styles they will be trying on and this will be limited to a Maximum of 6 per bride.  This is because dresses have to be sanitised and/or set aside for 72 hours in between appointment.  Staff will wear gloves when touching the gowns.  Please take a look at these on our website and let us know in advance which styles you like. Do not worry if you choose more then 6 as we just need to get an idea of what your bridal style is. We will select your styles based on your answers, your dress size,  budget and time scale. 

Brides and their guests will be asked to stay within a marked area during the appointment (this is so that we can maintain a safe social distance and to minimise handling of the stock)

The boutique and the dresses will be cleaned in between appointments so we will only have a limited amount of appointments available per day. 

No guests under 16 allowed in store. We will make exceptions for babes in arms (only by prior arrangement)

We appreciate that some of these measures may be difficult.  However in order for us to make our workplace safe and to follow govt guidelines and stay open we must all adhere to these new measures.
