I am so excited to share the amazing pics from this shoot with you. My inspiration for this shoot was the gorgeous new bridal gowns from Pure Bridal and I decided to go with a Romantic Bohemian theme. Our host for this shoot was the lovely Hannah from Sussex Past and Lewes Castle was our venue for the day. We were fortunate to have access to the towers and gardens which were the perfect backdrop for our shoot.
Two gowns were chosen for this shoot, the first was River . I chose this dress as it fits perfectly with our Romantic Bohemian theme, with the exquisite lace bodice, sparkling hand beaded detail and flowing tulle skirt. We teamed this with a gathered sleeve tulle jacket with a flowing train to give it a more bohemian vibe.
The second dress we used was Skye, perfect for a romantic fairytale castle themed wedding with its sparkling hand beaded, illusion neckline and full organza skirt. We teamed this with a crystal edged veil and diamanté’ tiara by Twilight Designs
The gorgeous bridal bouquet and flower crown were designed and made by Steph from Chirpee Flowers We asked Steph to make a bouquet and flower crown in soft pinks, peach and with lots of vibrant and soft greens she got the styling perfect for our theme.
Our amazing and brave model Lisa was an absolute trooper bearing with us through gritted teeth as the weather was quite chilly and blustery. This was her first time ever modelling and we think she did an amazing job coping with the weather and the cobbled streets and windy staircases in the Castle and smiling all the way through.
Make up and hair was by the very talented, kind and patient Nikki from Butterfly The models hair was left loose and curled to give a tousled look and the make up kept very natural to be in keeping with our theme.
The fabulous photos were taken by Andy Kerr who did an amazing job coping with Castles many winding staircases, the blustery wind knocking things over and working in cramped and cold spaces. We are absolutely thrilled with the resulting pics.
Many thanks to everyone who helped who contributed on this shoot, it was an absolute pleasured working with you all and we hope we can do so again soon.
